Enhance your visual storytelling skills to capture the highlights of Singapore away from the typical postcard shots.

This workshop teaches you travel, night and long exposure photography techniques so you can capture the best day and night photographs beyond typical postcard shots. It is suitable for photographers of all levels who are interested in photographing architecture, streets, culture, and cityscapes.

You will explore and photograph a good mix of lesser-known places and tourist sites, from Chinatown to Marina Bay. You can always add on your photography subject of interest.

In Chinatown, explore streets that were once home to clan houses of early immigrants to capture shophouse architecture that are unique to Singapore. Get a glimpse into the local way of life at one of the oldest residential estates. You will also capture a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city skyline from a spectacular high viewpoint.

Head to the Singapore River at sunset to capture a mix of colonial architecture alongside modern and futuristic designs, from the colonial district to Marina Bay. Your photography includes notable landmarks like the Old Hill Street Police Station, Fullerton Hotel, the Merlion, and Marina Bay Sands

At night, Singapore’s skyline is a stunning sight. With its lit-up buildings and glowing streets against the dark sky, night photography lets you explore a different facet of the city and opportunities to create fantastic long-exposure shots.

TAKE NOTE:

  • Throughout the route, you will be on foot, getting from one location to another, except getting from Chinatown to the Singapore River, where you will be taking a short train ride.

  • There will be short breaks in between, so you will not be too exhausted.
